On May 28th, in partnership with the Hispanic Liberty Alliance, the Our America Foundation hosted a community event in Yuma, Arizona. The response to this event was fantastic as over 30 community leaders were in attendance.
We were pleased to welcome multiple special guests including Yuma Mayor Douglas Nichols, Councilmember Arturo Morales, Councilmember Mark Martinez and Yuma County Recorder David Lara.
These officials led an engaging panel discussion and attendees had the opportunity to have one-on-one conversations with their local officials.

Civic engagement is one of our core values. It’s critical that we host events where community leaders can directly address politicians and civilly discuss their concerns.
We look forward to hosting more events like these in other parts of the state in the near future.
