The Our America Foundation (OAF) was recently invited to the Second Chance Job and Resource Fair at the Tucson Convention Center.
Arizona State Director Paul Parisi and Hometown Hero Tom Cortese manned a table and were able to recruit a record 62 Hometown Heroes!
The Job and Resource Fair is hosted by Second Chance Tuscon, a local organization that works to reduce stigma and expand opportunities for formerly incarcerated Americans. They bring together nonprofit, faith-based, government, law enforcement, and employers to offer employment services and other resources.
Over 80 organizations and employers were there to offer opportunities to a massive crowd of over 1000 people re-entering civilian life.
Safer streets start with giving law enforcement and communities the resources they need, but making sure Americans who have done their time don’t return to crime is just as important, and the Our America Foundation is proud to help out with Second Chance’s mission.

Overall, it was a great day to see some brighter futures made, and a great opportunity to spread awareness of our mission and make new connections with the Tucson Community.
