Our America Foundation (OAF) recently co-hosted several Citizenship Masterclasses in Mesa, AZ to help Lawful Permanent Residents (LPRs) pass the U.S. Citizenship test and become Americans. Alongside the Restoration of America and the Hispanic Liberty Alliance, OAF delivered twelve hours of American history, hands-on activities, and mock citizenship interviews.
In the end, 44 attendees graduated and are on their way to become new Americans. Below are some photos from the classes and celebration.
Several prominent political figures in Arizona supported our efforts. State Senate President Warren Peterson gave a presentation, primarily in Spanish, to attendees at the 4/18 class. At the graduation ceremony, Arizona Supreme Court Justice Clint Bolick, Maricopa County Sheriff Chief Deputy Steve Dailey, House Speaker Pro Tem Niel Carter, and Representative Alex Kolodin participated in a panel discussion and helped congratulate our graduates.
The ceremony was attended by over 50 people, including our graduates plus their friends and family supporting them on their journey to becoming citizens.
OAF is proud to host events like this which strengthen our relationship with the local community and help those on their citizenship journey. We look forward to organizing additional classes in the future, and we’re proud to play a part in helping more individuals achieve the American dream.
