The Our America Foundation was recently invited to attend the Fresh Start Fundraiser lunch, where AZ State Director Paul Parisi and eight other Hometown Heroes hosted a table.
Fresh Start was founded by Dr. DaMond Holt, and the director of the organization is Tom Cortese, who is also a Hometown Hero. You may remember him from last month’s event, where he and Paul helped to recruit 62 new Hometown Hero activists at the Second Chance Job and Resource Fair.
This event was of a similar theme, as Fresh Start also works to help adjust people exiting the justice system into civilian life. They coordinate services such as re-entry events and programs for skill and job training. The fundraiser touched on these topics and featured several prominent speakers.
There were around 100 attendees, many of them Hometown Heroes. Check out some photos of the speakers and crowd below:
The Our America Foundation is always eager to work with groups who share our mission of making our communities safer and our futures brighter.
